The Pikler triangle is a climbing structure invested by Dr. Emmi Pikler (1902-1984). It allows children to learn to navigate at their own pace, explore their bodies, understand their boundaries and respond to their climbing needs.
Though it is a toy intended for climbing, your baby at around six months of age will be able to use the wooden bars of the Pikler triangle to pull up and stand. Once they are older and able to walk, they will gradually begin to explore and start climbing.
Transformable into many different shapes, the triangle is the perfect diverse, functional climbing triangle that will provide endless opportunities for learning and fun. The benefits of play with our triangle are far-reaching. Play on it will help your child to develop:
- Movement pleasure
- Motor skills
- Healthy joints
- Muscle development
- Bone health
Switching up the construction of the triangle is the best way to achieve various goals. The different shapes help to exercise the whole body, while the various textures of the slides ensure that all nodes in your little ones’ feet are put to use.
This is a key feature as the stimulation of feet is vital - it helps prevent flat feet, and improves posture tremendously. Multiple physiotherapists have found that this toy is an excellent tool for improving a child’s immunity as many action points linked to the internal organs are located on the feet.
The Pikler Triangle is foldable and can be tucked away for easy storage. Please note that if you opt for the Pikler Triangle that comes with the Swedish wall attachments, the Pikler Triangle can't be completely folded due to the difference in its structure.
The Pikler Triangle will be delivered unassembled.
